Second expedition of breeding bird monitoring in three KBAs along the Albanian southern coast: NP Butrint, PL Vjosë-Nartë and the high nature value area Vlora bay – Karaburun – Cika Mountain.

Along a 10 days field trip, 4 professional ornithologists from BSPB assisted by PPNEA’s field researchers and collaborators, carried out the second expedition for the monitoring of breeding birds in the three Key Biodiversity Areas in the focus of the CEPF founded project “Land of Eagles and Castles”. Along this expedition, are visited as well, very challenging sites to access, such as Cika mountain peak, in order to have a complete check of the territory habitats. The gathered data are very interesting and acquired. The reports will be available soon, in our webpage, so that everyone can download. This work gives also a very valuable contribution for the preparation of the European Breeding Brid Atlas (EBBA) 2 and hopefully the national atlas.
