All our actions are addressing its three following investment priorities: (i) Engage local stakeholders in conservation actions that address threats to key elements of biodiversity in priority Key Biodiversity Areas in the coastal zone. (iii) Support civil society to engage with local or national governments to mainstream biodiversity conservation into integrated coastal zone management, land use and development planning process.

The project is focused on two Key Biodiversity Areas identified along the Albanian Coastline such as the area of Vjosë-Nartë (ALB24) and the area of Saranda bay – Butrint National Park (ALB 04). Phase I was implemented from 2013 to 2017.
