The Shores of Love
Have you ever heard of “The Shores of Love”? It’s not the title of a novel, but a real natural landscape that Narta’s saltworks offer. The stunning shades of powder pink mixed with coral – which the lagoon waters take on during the beginning of autumn – are definitely a fantastic sight not to be missed. This phenomenon occurs as a result of water drying and the salt remaining. This would be the perfect landscape with no need for a filter for all photography lovers.
The Monastery of St. Mary
The Monastery and Church of St. Mary in Zvërnec are a must that should not be missing on your itinerary. They are located on a picturesque setting of land on the island of Zvernec, on the edge of the Narta lagoon. The monastery is one of the most impressive works of cultural and religious heritage. Its construction has taken place between the twelfth and thirteenth centuries and is characterized by architectural Byzantine style. To get to the monastery you have to cross a wooden bridge which oscillates over the sea waters that separate the land from the island.
Birdwatching
Flamingos, pelicans, wild ducks and many other will welcome you to Narta. Several years after the moratorium on hunting was applied, many birds have returned to the area, turning it into their habitat. This is an additional touristic value of this lagoon, not only for the natural beauty it offers, but also for the kindness of these birds to visitors. For all those who love bird watching, Narta is a perfect destination.
Have a picnic or try forest bathing in the forest of Zvërnec
The food tastes like nowhere else under the shade of the Zvërnec forest tree crowns. A picnic or some forest bathing among the wonderful flora of this area is an experience for all your senses. Nature with its generosity has beautifully mixed its elements in this area. Sea, sand, trees together form a perfect combination for a sweet escape from reality.
